Tonight I got a crazy phone call from my brother freaking out about my nephew. My nephew Zak was outside playing, when he decided to climb the basketball pole. Well he slid down the pole and somehow there was a nail sticking out and it gutted his belly..The cut was about 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep! My brother had to call 911 and have him rushed to the hospital b/c all this cauliflower stuff was coming out of his belly..crazy huh!! They are doing surgery right now as I'm typing....Pray that God will take care of everything!!!

God is working in my family!

I'm too excited about what God is doing in my family!!! My Aunt Michelle and uncle Tony and their kids..just started coming to church with me a few weeks ago and God is doing great things in their lives. And...My uncle and my little cousin(Aril) both got baptized Sunday! Thank you Jesus!!!!

The other day my crew and I went to eat at Tumbleweed on the River..and our table was facing this couple the whole time.. Talk about disturbed..lol..they acted like little school kids! They reminded me of tha movie "Lady and the Tramp" drinking out of tha same glass.

Tuesday nite @ Wicks

Tonight Brittney, Whitney, and I went to Wicks Pizza on Bardstown Rd in the Highlands. We were able to sit outside and enjoy this great weather we had today.
Man did we see some sights in the Highlands tonight sitting out there! We had a blast!

Scrunchy socks...lol (back in the day...we used to wear these in layers...i didn't know stores still sold these until tonight..WOW)













Swimming sandles(velcro)...if you have a pair of these, do yourself a favor and everyone else around you...throw them out!!!ha

Today I was entering a patient into the computer and her diagnosis was kleptomania...lol I didn't even know that was a diagnosis..HAHA!!

My cousin Nick is leaving for the Navy the first week of May. We had his going away party this past weekend!! I'm going to miss him...but I wish the best for him!

LORD, PROP US UP ON OUR LEANING SIDE!

Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who
always prayed, Lord, prop us up on our leanin 'side.'

After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him
why he prayed that prayer so fervently.

He answered, 'Well sir, you see, its like this....I got an old
barn out back. Its been there a long time, its withstood a lot of
weather, its gone through a lot of storms, and its stood for many years.
Its still standing, but one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a
bit. So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning
side so it wouldn't fall.

Then I got to thinking 'bout that and how much I was like that
old barn. I been around a long time, I've withstood a lot of life's storms,

side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning

Me: Thanks!

Nephew: How old are you?

Me: How old do you think I am?

Nephew: Ummmmm 40!

Me: WHAT i'm not grandma's age!

Nephew: I dunno 40, 50, 30 or something?

Me: Alec I'm only 26, put your mom on the phone!

My Birthday Weekend!

Well my birthday isn't acutally till Tuesday the 15th but I have to work and go to school that day. Soooo I celebrated it this whole weekend!! Friday night a bunch of my friends and I went bowling, we had so much fun!! Then on Saturday there was a huge firework show downtown for my birthday..ha...someone really did go out of their way for me..ha..jk...Thunder was fun but really cold! Over all my birthday weekend was great! I just hate it now that i'm climbing up the hill to 30~!;(
But it kind of feels good to say i'm 26, instead of 25 i kinda like it! It's been a great year for me soo far so i'm hoping that this will be a great age for me also!!

Song of Solomon series by Tommy Nelson

My mom bought the Song of Solomon series by Tommy Nelson and she's been trying to get me to listen to it. So the other day when I was at her house I asked her if I could borrow it. I've been listening to it on my way to work and it really has caught my interest! This guy is amazingly funny and he knows how to get your attention. I get so frustrated when I get to work and I haven't finished the session yet. Usually I'm running late for work so I have to wait until after work before I can finish it..ha! It's like my morning devotion..plus it's helping me with my day to day struggles of being single! But, it's not only for singles it's for anyone, my mom and my step dad really enjoyed listening to it also.

Slowly getting there

I'm a little excited.... i weighed myself today..and i've lost 45lbs..since July..whoo hoo!!! I don't weigh myself often, I usually just wait until I got to the doctor every month and he tells me how much i've lost.. but I wanted to see for myself today. I'm soo pumped up! (fyi...I will encourage all women to never ever get a IUD ever in ur life...it will make you gain some MAJOR weight)!!
