A good book...

Nights in Rodanthe...by Nicholas Sparks I have to read a book for my English class, and I picked this book. I'm not much of a reader anymore and to be honest I haven't picked a book up in years! But, this book is good:) I don't even want to put it down.....maybe because the movie is coming out this weekend and I want to finish the book before I see the movie! I can't wait:)

My A.I. Experience

Well everyone has been asking me about how American Idol went! Due to the media, press, and the contract I signed I'm limited to what I can say.(and were weren't allowed to take many pictures)
I will say that I had a blast! This was a experience that I will never forget.

What I did---I was a production assistant, which consisted of helping with everything from unloading/loading trucks, finding props, helping with the camera crews, picking up the judges and staff members, you name it we probably did it.
But..when it came to show time my main job was to...send all the contestants into the judging room to do their audition. Yeap I got to see, hear, and watch every audition. It was great!!! I can't wait for it to air in January.

Everyone that makes American Idol was fun to work with! Including the judges, camera crew, security guys, production staff, etc. They were all soo personable and very down to earth. The stars were great too! Very nice and friendly.
Randy was a jokester, Simon was always on his phone, Paula well she was Paula and very spastic (she loves to have pink straws), Kara didn't say much I guess b/c it's still all new to her, and Ryan was Hot as in cute!!, lol he was very funny and outgoing.

Up close and in person....Paula asked me personally to go get her a Starbucks!
Ryan Seacrest ...I talked to him on my cell phone!!:) (I didn't get to go to Monday's auditions b/c I had to go to work and I called my friend during break and she said hold up Ryan is walking by...well he grabbed the phone and started talking to me..I about flipped out!

I had lunch with Kara's stylist Joel one day. He was sooo nice~ We were talking about hairstyles, and I got on the subject of big hair and how I was raised Pentecostal and how they have big hair styles. His mouth dropped and said I was raised Pentecostal too! What a coincidence, pretty neato~

Overall my experience with AI was awesome! I can't wait for the show to air in January so that I can see the contestants again.

Celebrate nvmc.tv pastoral staff day

Today I have the opportunity to honor my pastor and his wife, Pastor David and Christel Boggs.

I've been a member of NVMC since August of last year and I'm proud to say that my Pastor and his wife have played a big part in this. They are very personable people which makes our church so striving.

Not only are they great warriors for the Lord, they are taking on a big vision for our church and that's to move us forward to the Cinemas. God is doing great things in our church and it's only because we have a spirit filled pastor that it willing to listen to Gods call no matter what the plan is, or how big it is. They work hard for our church. Christel works many hours too, and they also have three beautiful children that keep them going.

David Boggs sure knows how to get the attention of the church. His messages are animated and speak about real life things that we are dealing with everyday. Some of his past sermon messages were "Girls gone wild","Cribs","Desperate Households",Call of Duty". He really knows how to keep us on our seats~!

David and Christel are so personable, with a church so big....David and Christel Boggs are not behind the scenes all the time, they are always at church pic-nics, sporting events, and birthday parties. They are great people and if you don't go to NVMC you should check it you!

I love you David and Christel and I'm so glad that i'm a member of NVMC and that you guys are my friends!

Did you know our Pastor can do cartweels??

Prayer changes things!

Tonight I went to Meijer's to grab a couple of things, as well as get a birthday card for my little sister. She just turned 10, yeah I have a little sister...she lives with my dad! As I was traveling through the aisle on my way to the card section I passed by the books. I'm not a reader at all. BUT, I started back to school just a week ago and my teacher has been on us about reading. I actually have to write a reading autobiography..yeah i know it's dumb! Anyways...I came across this book........
I started flipping through the pages and found myself thinking of how it would have been if I did have my dad in my life. Questions after questions started to overwhelm me.....Would I be in church? Would he be in church? Would I be finished with college yet? Would I be married yet? Who will walk me down the aisle if I ever get married? What will I tell my children when they ask who their grandpa is? What will I do if something ever happens to my mom?
It's been over a year since I've seen my dad, over 3 year's since I've had a relationship with him and a few months since I've spoken to him.. I know that there are several choices that I have made it my life that wasn't wise and I know that it was a result from not having a dad in my life to guide me and show me the ropes. Do I blame him?...No not anymore,I forgive him for the choices he has made. And if he ever decides to make things right with me than I will welcome him with open arms. But until then I will continue to pray for him! Sometimes my frustration/confusion does come out, and also my trust towards other males but I continue to have faith in the Lord that he will be my Leader, my Father and my Guide! I know everyday may be just a ordinary day to most but everyday to me is different because I always have in the back of my mind "what if" dad is going to come back into my life again!

It Didn't happen today ...I'll just pray for tomorrow!:)
