Wish this was my grandmother!

A 92-year-old great-grandmother from Queens accidentally discarded a winning $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket - but a scrupulous supermarket clerk saved the day.
At a state lottery press conference in Flushing Meadows yesterday, Mary Alice Fallon, a regular customer at Deirdre Maeve's supermarket in Breezy Point, recounted how she bought three tickets on Nov. 24.
The Far Rockaway woman scratched them, thought they were losers and asked the clerk to toss them.
But the employee, Chris Connelly, 24, decided to double-check the tickets, so he scanned their bar codes on the store's lottery computer terminal.
And one, a "$1,000,000 Mania" ticket, "popped up a winner," he said yesterday.
He had no idea it was a million-dollar winner, but he did have a clue it wasn't chump change.
The machine's instructions were for the winner to claim the prize at lottery headquarters, an indication the ticket was worth more than $600, the threshold for income-tax reporting.
"I told her, 'Wait, I think you have a big winner here.' I first thought maybe it was $1,000," he said.
He scratched off squares on the ticket that she had missed, "and there it was, a million dollars. She was in disbelief, I was in disbelief," he said.
"She kept asking, 'Are you sure, are you sure?' "
Fallon said she knew something was up when Connelly's face turned pale, then "I was almost numb" when she learned of her prize.
"If it wasn't for Chris and his honesty, I could have thrown away $1 million without knowing it. I guess someone was watching out for me," she said.
Connelly said he wasn't tempted to pocket the cash.
"I know this woman well," he said. "She comes in every day. It would have been bad karma if I kept it."
Fallon is divvying up her newfound riches - to be distributed annually over two decades, according to lottery rules - with her seven children.
After taxes, each one, or their designated heirs, will net about $32,000 a year, or $4,000 apiece, for the next 20 years.
"What a way to end your life," she said.
Connelly has been working at his parents' grocery since graduating from Siena College two years ago.
Each of her children gave the honest, hardworking young man a $100 gift to thank him for helping their elderly mom find her fortune.
An appreciative Fallon "hooked me up" with the family's generosity, said Connelly.
The state lottery also announced five other $1 million scratch-off winners, including Queens resident Lucille Kimble, 89, who is donating a portion of her winnings to a scholarship fund.

Blogging~One Year Anniversary /Thanksgiving

Today has been one year since I've been blogging!!! Wow time sure does fly.
Today is also Thanksgiving.........and I have sooo much to be thankful for! (God in my life, family, and friends and my iPhone..lol)
I spent my Thanksgiving up north in PA visiting my cousin Stephanie. My aunt(Stephanie's mom-lives in Louisville) and I drove up here with her. I haven't been up here since I was about 12 years old....crazy! Steph's parents divorced and that was it, Steph staid here with her dad and My aunt and my other cousin moved back to KY.. I'm so glad i had the opportunity to come up here and spend it with Steph b/c she only gets to see us once a year at random times.
Even though I wasn't with my immediate family, I set all selfishness aside and came here to spend it with her since she doesn't get the chance and Believe me she's very thankful for that!:)

Listening to his voice

Last night at church Pastor Boggs called a alter call, he said anyone who wanted to get the gift of the Holy Ghost to come on up....the alter filled up with about 40 people! I was soo excited, he then started telling people that wanted a refill to come up! So many people answered to the call. He asked all the alter workers to come, unfortunately there wasn't enough. Then he asked all the leaders in the church to help out to. I consider myself a leader in the church since I'm the athletic director so I went up there. I saw a husband a wife with two children, desperately trying to get the gift, but they couldn't break through b/c they both had a kid on their hip. So i grabbed up both kids and stood back praying, then Jackie came to my rescue and took of them from me.
As I was standing there praying for everyone ..and i started feeling sick, i just got my tonsils out and that was my first time actually getting around a lot of people since my surgery. I started feeling weak and my temp started to rise...i know i had a fever along with a kid on my hip. That's when God started speaking to me ....he said go go Krystel you have the gift plus i have given you the gift to help people get the holy ghost..
God gives me words to speak and i have the gift of pushing them though...i used to be in the children's ministry at all of my previous Church's camps...i have helped over 100 plus kids pray though to the holy ghost........it was an awesome experience in my lifetime. Then I used to go to my uncles church and have helped many kids there also....that's when God spoke to me and told me i was going to be a Children's Missionary. Also at my old church i have been there with over 20 teens helping them press though and get the holy ghost. I don't know it's like God has a special touch on me and i know how to help people.
So last night God really dealt with me..he wanted me to be there to help people, i was hesitate b/c i didn't feel good and i had a kid to hold and usually all the prayer workers are there for them...but there wasn't enough. I listened to God.....I my not have helped everyone but I did help one person....it was awesome and she spoke in tongues for the first time!!!!!!!!!!
God gave me a wake up call.......that i still have it in me and i need to be there to help others. I need to quit sitting back and just watching.
Words can not explain how much God is doing at NVMC...I'm so excited to see what else he has in store!
