Welcome back to the bloggers who’ve spent the last week in Uganda! Welcome back to me too,I've been on a blog fast for the last 7 days...and it's good to be back!! It was awesome to be able to just not worry about my blog for a week and to see what was going on in Uganda!

I was amazed at the various video's and testiomys that the bloggers shared. I had many humbling nights, when I just sat and thought about my own life and how I have it sooo good! I complain so much about the daily things in my life, but if I really had to put myself in their shoes I wouldn't know how to act. I'm such a materialistic and sometimes a selfish person and I've decided to work on it from here on out!

So what's been going on in my life the past week???...well lets see here....

*Louisville had the the big snow..finally!! I lost my diamond earrings sledding, so i went this weekend to the mall and purchased me some new ones, well i lost them today (so i'm going to work on that materialistic thing and NOT buy any more..ha) i'm sooo mad

*Valentines day- came and went...it kinda sucked it was the first year i haven't had a valentine in 4 years...BUT....I have a stalker at work that sent me flowers, and well since i'm a floater at work and I never know where i'm going to be from day to day he sent them to the wrong place...go figure tooo funny.. oh yeah and he's like 50years old; so i don't want to hear "awww how sweet"!

*Those of you who know ....about my mom's best friend that was in the motorcycle wreck during the toys for tots run that was fighting for her life, well she passed away yesterday. Remember Karen Jeckles family and my mom in your prayers! My mom was going up to the hospital at least once a week to pray for her. So my mom is taking it pretty hard. Funeral is going to be on Thursday and it's in the same place where my mom's mom was laid out...so that's even more devastating for my mom.

*I'm so missing my best friend Jonell that moved to Texas. She called over the weekend and she hates it! At first she loved it b/c it was all new to her, but now she is so over it. She's only been there since the 7th...ha

*Happy President's Day~here's a photo i took a few mths back..i saved it just for today:) (sam and i were in a store and i put on this xtra small vest, it had american flags on it an also red, white and blue stars... and I said "hey Sam happy President's day" she cracked up laughing soo hard and so did these older ladies around us.

Well sorry for the long blog, but i haven't blogged in 7 days, so I had to get it all in!!! Hope everyone has a great week..God Bless!!!

Compassion....

I received my Compassion packet in the mail yesterday!!!! I was sooo excited!!
Maxmillian's birthday is in 5 days, so I'm going to be sending his package out today! He's going to be 11 years old!

A day with the boys

I had the boys today ....we went to Texas road house and also to see Alvin and the Chipmunks..it was a cute movie!
Zak had to wear these funky lookin glasses so that he would look like Simon!

February is "Share Your Love" for Compassion

This is Maxmillian...he's a child that I have sponsored from Kenya....When I found out about Compassion God layed it upon my heart that I needed to sponsor a child so I prayed about it and asked God to direct me to the right child. I searched for hours looking through pictures until I finally found Maxmillian...and God said that's the one! I will be posting more picture as soon as I get them in the mail.


So in 5 days my blog will be silent. Now, some would say, "how is that any different than most days?" Well... Feb 10th - 18th this blog will be silent except for a few links.

I'm Special

I'm in Cincy the next few days for work. When I found the hotel...I noticed that the road it was on was named after my last name...how ironic was that??

Well folks I saw another "I love my goats" bumper sticker today....

McDonalds at another level....

This week i'm working in Corydon...well I never know what's going to happen here. I always seem to find something amusing! Well today a co-worker and I went up to McDonalds to get her a sweet tea, as we were approaching the drive thru speaker we saw a worker running around getting everyone's money and taking it to the window of the person who was taking our order. My co-worker asked him what he was doing, he said that he was trying to make it faster service...lol...it was too funny..we ended up spending our lunch hour in the parking lot watching him dart around in the rain ..it was hilarious!!!

Highlights from today...

*Today I went to the Newport Aquarium for the first time! It was pretty neato mosquito!

*Also I tried sushi for the first time...it was actually good!

*Groundhog saw his shadow...6 more weeks of winter..go figure

*I also went to my best friends going away party, and gave her a picture frame ...with a collage of picture's of us. As I was putting it together today I became pretty teary eyed. Considering we have been best friends for over 15 years it's going to be really hard telling her bye. This Thursday she leaves for Texas so i'm going to go over there then and say my goodbyes!

*I had my monthly bunco party with my bunco girls, I had Becca come along as a sub, and she won! Way to go Becca!!!

*On the way home from Bunco I decided to speed, and I got pulled over doing 16 over...I was sooo mad at myself considering I just got my license back. Man!!!! I told the officer that I had two uncles on the police force and he said that if I had them call him tonight then he would take care of it....WELLLL...I can't get a hold of my uncle's, I was told that they are both off tonight and are at a poker game.. There goes my chance....darn!!!

Well folks tomorrow is offically Groundhog Day!! Whoo hoo..!! Punxsutawney Phil is the only true weather forecasting groundhog and has been making predictions for over 120 years. He also has been 100% accurate everytime. Lets see what happens tomorrow!
